What to do with the WNFC $?

Quite some time ago, we had two consecutive Wellness Fairs, which I  coordinated for no financial compensation. I had intended to use the money we accrued to have another Wellness Fair or publish a nice directory that we could leave about Franklin County to showcase our services.

The second year I was assuming that I would have as much help as I did the first year. Well, that didn’t pan out and after the fair, I was pretty burned out. No one else picked up the ball and we fizzled out.

Megan Bathory Peeler, had been our Treasurer and after some years, she passed it back to me. I have been collecting statements all these years. Sometimes, I even open them up and read them. Several times I got notices that if there was no activity in the account it would be turned over to the State Treasurer.

I put $20 dollars in, I took $20 dollars out. This time I took out $50 to buy stamps to  do a mailing to everyone I could contact to help decide what to do with the $2,000+ that we have in our Freedom Credit Union account.

Organizing a Wellness Fair is a huge undertaking. My suggestion is to put together a directory.

What I want from you is help reaching all the members, feedback about how to use the money and help putting together a directory, if that is what we decide to do. A meeting of interested persons could be arranged to help make decisions.

Please help me update the information I do have. Please check in and add your feedback.

Hi Cheech,

I wondered what had ever happened to this. I know we talked about it some years back. Briefly, while the idea of a directory is nice one, it would take some effort to assemble and maintain and really not sure how much use it would get without additional effort marketing it. There are other things already out there (i.e. Valley Lists) which get minimal usage as it is. My vote, unless someone(s) are up for maintaining and proactively promoting a directory, would either be to donate to an agreed upon worthy cause (ideally suggestions could be fielded and a simple Doodle Poll could determine the results with minimal effort) - that would be my first choice - or just make evenly divided payouts to those who were responsible for contributing to that balance (i.e. exhibitors and active participants, not necessarily folks whose names were just on the list).

Thanks for keeping track of this.

Thanks for responding so quickly, Gary. I feel I can't make a decision on my own, and I am hoping more folks will weigh in.
Would you be able to set up up a doodle poll at some point?

Thank YOU Cheech! Donating at least 1/2 to you for all the work you did and donating the rest to someone in need of alternative type healing would be my vote. $ could be donated to (a suggestion) www.emeraldheart.com which is an amazing organization for women with cancer who choose alternative type care. A friend of mine began this nonprofit and she has since died.
As I no longer see clients and do continue to create healing art>Art for Sacred Spaces I don't believe I would fit into a directory, of this kind, as a practitioner. Many Blessings and good luck reaching others. Ruby

Warmest Greetings

I would like to belong to group that is helping to spread the word about reversing all disease naturally. Is this something that you are interested in doing.
